General instructions

STAHY2021 Workshop is an entirely online conference based on Zoom platform, where the sessions will be streamed through the Workshop Landing.

All registered participants will be able to attend the live sessions with their login details by clicking on the website Landing button. During the live sessions, attendees will NOT be able to either raise the hand or open their microphone.

Instead, two live chats will be displayed next to the embedded Zoom call:

  • General comments chat

Here, attendees are encouraged to make general comments. These do not necessarily need to be addressed to any presenter or need to be answered.

  • Q&A chat

In this chat, attendees are encouraged to make their questions concerning presenters’ works. Furthermore, attendees can adhere to questions already made by other attendees by clicking on the “like” emoticon below the question. Those questions with the highest number of “likes” will have preference in the Q&A round at the end of the session, which will be raised by the session chair to the referred presenter.

All displaying materials (i.e. including abstracts, presentations, etc.) will be available in the landing from 13th September 2021. This should ensure that participants have ample time to view the displaying materials ahead of the live Q&A sessions.

All sessions will be recorded and made available for all registered participants in the Workshop’s webpage after de Conference.

Instructions for presenters

Each Workshop session will be an independent Zoom call that will be streamed through the Workshop Landing. Presenters are encouraged to join their Zoom call 15’ prior to their presentation time slot. Log in details to join the Zoom call will be provided individually to presenters one day before their scheduled presentation. Only presenters, chairpersons and the support team will be invited to this Zoom call.

So that the audience can follow the session, the Zoom call will be streamed through the Workshop landing. Here, the audience will only be able to make questions or comments through the general comments chat and the Q&A chat windows (i.e. they will not be allowed to either raise the hand or open their microphone). During the session, the support team will be transferring the questions made by attendees in the Landing into the Zoom call, so that the chair of the session can raise the questions to authors at the Q&A round.

Presenters must ONLY connect to the Zoom call during the session their presentation is scheduled and leave the call at the end of the Q&A of their session. Please, avoid connecting to the landing and to the Zoom call at the same time.

Authors are encouraged to send their presentation and any other displaying materials to stahy2021@upv.es. These displaying materials (in either in PDF or PowerPoint format) will be displayed in the Workshop’s programme webpage from 13th September 2021 until the end of year and they will only accessible for registered participants.

Best presentations will be invited to a Special Issue in Hydrological Sciences Journal.
